HDFC Bank provides 5 free transactions per month at HDFC Bank ATMs for savings and salary accounts. Other banks get three free transactions at metro ATMs and five free transactions at non-metro ATMs. HDFC Bank charges Rs. 21 plus applicable taxes for cash withdrawals that exceed the authorised number of free transactions; for non-financial transactions, the charge is Rs. 8.50 plus GST.

Current account holders of Activ, Ascent, Max Advantage, Plus, Professionals, Ecomm, SmartUp Alpha, SmartUp Growth, SmartUp Max,Utlima, Apex, Max, Flexi, Merchant Advantage Plus, and Supreme can make unlimited withdrawals from HDFC Bank ATMs. However, the bank will charge after three free transactions at metro ATMs and five free transactions at non-metro ATMs. Beyond the prescribed limit of free transactions, a cash withdrawal and non-financial transaction fee of 21/- plus applicable taxes will be levied.

Current accounts in the Regular, Premium, Trade, Merchant Advantage, Ezee, and Current Account for Hospitals/Nursing Homes/Pathology Labs can make unlimited withdrawals from HDFC Bank ATMs. If a withdrawal is made from any other bank’s ATM, these accounts will be charged from the first transaction.

Only cash withdrawal transactions will be considered for charging at HDFC Bank ATMs. Non-financial transactions (such as balance inquiries, mini statements, and PIN changes) will be free.

Transactions considered for charging at non-HDFC Bank ATMs will include both financial (cash withdrawal) and non-financial transactions (Balance Enquiry, Mini Statement & PIN Change).

According to the HDFC Bank website, transactions made at ATMs in Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad will be considered Metro ATMs.
